Deltaforms

16 July 2025

TheSpaceBuilder is proud to announce the creation of its first startup: Deltaforms.

Based in Strasbourg, Deltaforms is tackling a critical and growing challenge:
ground deformations, particularly those linked to clay shrink–swell cycles, are being exacerbated by climate change. Today, they pose a serious threat to infrastructure and residential buildings, and are a major driver of insurance claims in many vulnerable regions.

By combining satellite data, big data, artificial intelligence, and advanced risk modeling, Deltaforms is developing a SaaS solution for predictive monitoring. The platform generates early warnings to trigger preventive maintenance — reducing operational costs, improving risk management, and enhancing regional resilience.

Deltaforms transforms complex spatial and geophysical data into actionable insights.

This ambitious project is led by a dedicated founding team, bringing together scientific expertise, strategic vision, and product-driven execution:

– Renier Viltres, postdoctoral researcher at the School and Observatory of Earth Sciences (EOST), University of Strasbourg, with recognized expertise in geosciences,
– Fabio Mainolfi and Hugo Gonzalez, co-founders of TheSpaceBuilder,
– Stéphane Loisel, professor at CNAM, and holder of the Chair in Actuarial Science and Risk, whose involvement is currently being formalized in coordination with CNAM.

Deltaforms fully embodies TheSpaceBuilder’s mission: to launch high-impact deeptech startups by co-founding with scientists and unlocking the value of public research.
